Nandini reaches a new milestone by delivering 10 million liters daily
Thanks to a robust increase in milk production, Karnataka has broken all previous records by obtaining a record 10 million liters of milk every day. Following a gou puja, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Tuesday that the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Federation (KMF) purchased nine million liters of milk every day from dairy farmers in June of last year.
In a conversation with the media, the chief minister stated that the rise in milk purchase meant an increased burden of subsidies for the government. The incentive (subsidy) payable to dairy was enhanced by the previous Congress administration.
