Royal Enfield’s EV on the cards, but you will have to wait
The makers of Bullet, Royal Enfield, are not in a rush to introduce an “amazing” electric car. According to ET Auto, Eicher Motors’ motorbike brand has decided not to release an electric motorcycle during this fiscal year.
We may need to invest a bit extra effort to ensure that all the subtleties are perfect. Excellence is our goal; quickness is not our goal. Managing Director of Eicher Motors Siddhartha Lal stated as much during a conference call with ETAuto following the company’s earnings.
In addition to working with Spanish startup Stark motorbike on another project, the corporation is creating an electric motorbike itself. On the other hand, Lal did not provide a debut date.
The previous year, Royal Enfield declared their intention to introduce an electric motorbike by 2025.Lal talked about the difficulties of developing electric bikes, stating that “there’s limited space for packaging, and they require larger batteries, making them heavier.” They are not competitively priced when compared to motorcycles powered by gasoline.”
