Hyundai in Partnership with Laxmi Group to start their first plant in Nepal
In partnership with Laxmi Group, Hyundai Motor India announced on Monday that local production of its small SUV, Venue, has begun in Nepal. The plant has an established capacity of 5,000 units annually and is the first automobile assembly facility in Nepal.
“The first model to be produced domestically assembled will be the Hyundai Venue. Hyundai Motor India MD & CEO Unsoo Kim stated in a statement, “I would like to convey my sincere congratulations to the people of Nepal for this achievement.”
He said, “The company expresses its gratitude to the Government of Nepal and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for their consistent support of the facility.” “We anticipate that the Nepali government will continue to implement positive policies and incentives to create a favorable environment.”
