The Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen a significant increase in viewership across both television and digital platforms this year, due to improved access, aggressive marketing efforts by stakeholders and a series of closely contested matches. Viacom18, IPL’s official streaming partner, reported that the Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals match on JioCinema drew a record-breaking 22 million concurrent viewers on Wednesday.
