India to be key destination for energy transition gear in 5 years, says Shell’s Huibert Vigeveno
According to Huibert Vigeveno, a senior executive at energy company Shell, India is set to become a crucial location for acquiring energy transition equipment within the next five years. Vigeveno also noted that India will have the largest number of Shell employees worldwide in the same timeframe as their businesses continue to expand.
Currently, Shell has approximately 11,000 workers in India, working in a variety of areas including fuel retail, gas, lubricant, and technology. Some employees at the company’s IT center are even developing digital replicas of Shell’s remote assets.
