The Vaccine Process: From the Lab to You

The Covid-19 pandemic has obviously impacted the lives of people around the world. People are really suffering in this pandemic as the businesses and other work centers have received a heavy blow with all this lockdown and curfews. People with small businesses are going through tough times now because everything is online and this is what everyone prefers because it is safe, time-consuming, and is also cheap with all these offers and stuff going on. Study shows that auto drivers and cab drivers are the ones who are affected the most, as people are not stepping out of their houses, even if they do, people prefer to travel in their own vehicles.

The times are so bad that most of the people are jobless and are not able to afford the basic means such as groceries. The suicide cases have increased drastically over the past few months. The covid deaths have also increased because of no beds and oxygen which makes the situation a lot worse. Even though a lot of organizations are providing help to all these poor families, the poverty rate has increased so much that even this is not sufficient.

Vaccine Is the Solution

Looking at the current situation and looking at how bad the state of the people is, the Government introduced the highly awaited Covid-19 Vaccine. A lot of Covid-19 Vaccines came out, but the one which is most recommended and approved by the WHO is Covishield. This vaccine needs to be taken in two shots and the time between each shot is 84 days. The death rate has decreased after the introduction of the vaccine which is a good sign and has also helped a lot of people to recover from the Coronavirus.

The vaccine is now available in almost every hospital and clinic which is a good sign as more people can get their vaccination done without wasting much time and this can also be a great step towards fighting the pandemic. The vaccine does not totally stop the virus, but it helps us to fight the virus. Since most of the people are vaccinated, they are finding it safe to step out of their houses, meet their relatives and friends and do other things which they couldn’t do without the vaccine. Study shows that the economic rate has gone up after the vaccine came out. People got their jobs back and the people who were going through tough and harsh times are slowly able to see the good days come their way.

Still, A Long Way to Go

Even though the healthcare industry has come up with the Covid-19 vaccine, a lot of people are not willing to get vaccinated or are not able to. There are many reasons why people are not getting their vaccines, the most important reason is Illiteracy and Rumors. A lot of rumors are being spread regarding the vaccine via social media like WhatsApp and Facebook. Some say that the vaccine has a long-term effect on our bodies and can also cause death. But I am pretty sure that a vaccine which is approved by the WHO will not cause death or any type of long-term side effects on the body. This is a fact which the educated and literate people will agree to and not the uneducated or illiterate. Unfortunately, due to all these rumors and false allegations a lot of people are not willing to get vaccinated. If this continues then, we will not stop losing people because of the virus and things might get out of hand and become a bit more serious. Apart from this, there are other rumors that the doctors are injecting water and glucose instead of the actual vaccine. Surprisingly a lot of them do believe in this and are stepping back from getting vaccinated.

Rumors are also being spread that women can’t reproduce when they get their vaccines and once again people believe this and are refusing to get vaccinated.

Stop the Fake News

Getting vaccinated is not only helping ourselves and protecting ourselves from the virus, but we are indirectly helping the community as well. We can be an example to the others who are refusing to take their vaccines and can also influence them and prove to them that whatever people are saying about the vaccine is false and is nothing but rumors. Serious action needs to be taken against the people who spread such fake news and rumors. Banning such people from any social media platform is the solution, so that the people are not guided into the wrong direction and can stay away from such rumors and false allegations. People need to realize that getting vaccinated is for their own good as they can fight the virus and stay safe. If the cost of the vaccine is the problem then, there are so many clinics who are giving the vaccine for free of cost. Let’s hope that the people neglect all the rumors and the negativity around and get themselves vaccinated before it is too late.
