Suzuki to start working on small hybrid cars for Indian market with better mileage
According to Chairman RC Bhargava, the Japanese automaker is developing smaller hybrid vehicles that will get far greater fuel economy than the models now on the road. Speaking with reporters following Maruti’s Q4 results statement on Friday, Bhargava stated that the expenditures associated with the modern technology used in Toyota hybrid vehicles remain rather expensive. And for that reason, the car’s price increases.
Bhargava stated that Suzuki Japan is developing a smaller hybrid car technology, in addition to the company’s intention to provide a reasonably priced hybrid vehicle. He continued by saying that the nation may anticipate more reasonably priced hybrid vehicles with much higher gas efficiency if the GST is reduced on hybrid vehicles.
