Airtel and Jio Tariff Hike
Due to the large pricing rises that Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have announced, mobile phone costs will rise. On Thursday, Jio announced a 12–25% rise, while on Friday, Airtel announced pricing increases. Due to the significant expenditures made in 5G services, this is the first significant rate hike by a telecom since 2021. The goal is to raise average revenue per user (ARPU).

Jio’s approximately 472 million consumers will be impacted by the higher pricing, which go into effect on July 3. The well-liked Rs 239 monthly plan, which offers 1.5 GB of data per day, will now cost Rs 299, a 25% hike, while the Rs 155 plan will now cost Rs 189.
